Day 01 - Kochi - Munnar
Welcome to God’s Own Country. Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Kochi Airport and then transfer to Munnar, this small town in the Western Ghats is famous for its picture book towns, sprawling tea gardens, mist clad hills, sanctuaries and above all the climate is one of the most sought after tourist destination in India today. Munnar is the gateway of Hills in South India. On the way you can also watch the lovely waterfalls of Cheeyappara Valara. Check-in to the hotel. Explore the rest of the day along with the nature. Day 02: Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing trip of Munnar; visiting the Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, visit Mattupetty Dam which offers many fascinating sights to relish. The Shola forests around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and bird watching, with the variety of birds found there. Mattupetty is also famous for its Indo-Swiss live stock project. The Echo point, famous for its echo phenomenon is a famous halting point for the tourists. Also visit Rose Gardens, Shooting Point and Tea Plantations. Kundala is a picturesque town located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Later proceed to Top Station, located around 32 km away from Munnar Town, is the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikkanal road. The place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar - Thekkady
After breakfast proceed to Thekkady, the tropical evergreen forest. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary amidst the rich jungles of Periyar, is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves. In the evening simmer down and gets refreshed enjoying a boat safari in the scenic Periyar Lake, occasionally winning the glance of some rare varieties of birds and animals at Periyar National Park. Rest of the day at lesuire. Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 04: Thekkady
Optional activities include Elephant Safari, Night shows Kalaripayettu (Martial Arts), Kadathandan Kullari & Navarasa Kathakali, visit to spice Plantation and spices shopping. Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 05: Thekkady - Kumarakom
Kumarakom an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Watch the spectacular bird sanctuary where birds of a different feather flock together. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kumarakom.
Day 06: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Visit Alleppey - the place of immense natural beauty, with its labyrinth of waterways, was extolled by travelers as the Venice of East. Discover the exotic land caressed by the Arabian Sea in the West and the vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers criss-crossing it. Stay in a fully furnished exotic houseboat, which takes you in the serene and stunning beauty across sun- dappled back waters. While your eyes explore the rustic life that floats by; treat your plate to backwater delicacies prepared by your own personal chef. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 07: Alleppey – Kochi
Check-Out from Houseboat in Alleppey and visit Coir Musuem. Post Musuem visit transfer to Kochi. Check-in and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Later, proceed for a half day city sightseeing tour of Kochi including Folklore Musuem and Kathakali Show. Kochi which is having the best preserved history of colonial times and the ideal way to bring it alive is to take a walk down memory lane. The major tourist attractions are Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street and Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace). Overnight at Kochi.
Day 08: Kochi Airport
Your vacation ends today. Transfer is provided to the Kochi Airport. Fly back to Mumbai with sweet memories of your Kerala Tour.
